Thirty-seven Earth Science students and two faculty members took leave for a one-day excursion at Albay Province last February 10, 2016, with the aim of providing students scientific knowledge and information, leading them to the development of positive social attitudes.

Seven locales were visited, namely: Kawa-Kawa Hills, Hoyop-hoyopan Cave, Sumlang lake, Cagsawa Ruins, Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) headquarters, Tiwi Geothermal Plant, and Mayon Resthouse.

Judy Ann Totaña, a first year Filipino major student, remarked with a chuckle,”I was totally amazed by the places we’ve gone to.  I want to revisit the places, especially Hoyop-hoyopan Cave.  It sure was fun and delightful.”
