NVAC Holds Second Family Day

Naga View Adventist College held its second Family Day with the theme "United our Family Stands" in the campus on February 08, 2015 through the initiative of the Home and School Association.

There were five parts for the whole events. First part was devotional in the morning where Pr. Dave G. Awa, HSA Vice-President, was the speaker followed by the Opening Ceremony in front of the administration building. Each team was represented by its color as follows: Burnt Orange for Barangay 1, Red for Barangay 2, Blue for Barangay 3 and Black for Barangay 4. Relaying and Lighting of the Torch of Sportsmanship was done with family representatives, namely: Dr. Salvador T. Molina, College President, Dr. Wilfredo Dapog, HSA President, Christian Ray Molina and Gwyneth Tarala, Grade 7 students. Engr. Jenehlo O. Frias led the Oath of Sportsmanship.

Part three of the program was family bonding moment. The activities were gathering of the family members, picture taking and lunch fellowship. The food was prepared by the college cafeteria. The afternoon events held at the auditorium were parlor games, quiz bee and the awarding ceremony. The games were facilitated by Mr. Abraham Azupardo, Jr. with the help of the CASA officers and MAPEH majors. The door prizes were awarded by the HSA officers in the afternoon program.

According to Dan Wilcox and Thad Mumford in the book Identity Crisis,"I don't care how poor a man is; if he has family, he's rich."
