Naga View Adventist College has been visited by an accreditation team for the Adventist Accreditation Association led by the Associate Director of Education for the General Conference of Seventh-Day Adventist, Dr. Hudson Kibuuka, on February 5-9, 2014. The purpose of the AAA visit was to assess the progress of Naga View Adventist College in various areas that are monitored by the accreditation body as well as to frame recommendations to address areas that need to be improved in order to meet the requirements for regular standing.

To help the representatives of the AAA to clearly see the progress of NVAC, interviews were held with selected students of the College Department to get their perception of the school’s progress. Meetings were also held with the faculty and staff of Naga View Adventist College along with the Administrators which dealt with the various categories related to their assessment. These meetings culminated in the exit report of the accrediting team as their recognized improvements in NVAC’s operation and issued recommendation for further improvement.

One feature of the accreditation team’s visit that was noted was their active participation in the various services of the school/church. The vespers program was bolstered with a message given by Dr. Lidado Ang, President of CPAC (Central Philippine Adventist College). On Sabbath, February 8, the Dean of Theology at AUP (Adventist University of the Philippines), Dr. Julio Amurao led the Sabbath School lesson review, while Dr. Kibuuka preached during the Divine service. In the afternoon, Dr. Canadian Panjaitan, Associate Director of Education for the Southern Asia Pacific Division (SSD) gave a lecture and Dr. Bobby Asis, Director of Education for the South Philippines Union Conference was the featured speaker for the Sundown worship.
