Nagaviewers Join DSPC

     Sixteen high school students represented Naga View Adventist College during the Division Schools Press Conference (DSPC) last September 25-27, 2018 held at Tabuco Central School at Naga City.

       Three of them got an award and they were: Isaiah Frandell G. Mari, Grade 12 (5th place - Pagsulat ng Balitang Isports); Daff Jeszel E. Duran, Grade 12 (4th place -Pagwawasto at Pag-uulo); and Johann Kim B. Masbate, Grade 11 (5th place - Editorial Writing).

       Other participants in the English category were Fredd Paulo N. Villa, Grade 9, (News Writing);  Audrey Jane M. Deopante, Grade 12, (Feature Writing); Jelome Gem L. Tuñacao, Grade 12, (Sports Writing); Kyla Shayne A. Rivera, Grade 10, (Editorial Cartooning), Dionne Nycole N. Data, Grade 10, (Photojournalism), John Audbrein M. Deopante, Grade 10 (Copyreading and Headline Writing); and Jester Karl C. Tiosan, Grade 10 (Science and Health Writing).

     The contestants in the Filipino Category were Rodgene Paul M. Mondelo, Grade 9 (Pagsulat ng Balita);  Kei Leslie V. Mediarito, Grade 12 (Pagsulat ng Pang-ulong Tudling);  Deosyl A. Galdo, Grade 12,  (Pagsulat ng Lathalain); and Jayrell Jan Claire R. Nantes, Grade 10 (Kartong Pang-Editoryal).    

     Themed, “Fostering 21st Century Skills and Character-based Education through Campus Journalism”, one of the DSPC’s  main objective is to enhance journalistic competence through healthy and friendly competition.
